VECTOR Founding Partner John Gardner has been appointed Chair of the WA Cricket Foundation, the philanthropic arm of WA Cricket. John succeeds Dr Bob Every AO, who has played an instrumental role in the Foundation’s success.
Having served on the Board for almost six years, John’s appointment reflects his long-standing dedication to cricket and community impact. As a lifelong member of the Western Australian Cricket Association and a playing member of the Claremont-Nedlands Cricket Club, his connection to the game runs deep.
The WA Cricket Foundation champions diversity, inclusion and belonging across four key areas of impact; Aboriginal cricket, support for people with disabilities, empowerment of young women in cricket and the creation of an inclusive and accessible community hub at the WACA Ground. The Foundation aligns strongly with VECTOR’s core value of Community and our value of social responsibility that fosters a positive impact that extends beyond our business endeavours.
“At VECTOR, Community is at the heart of what we do – giving back, supporting the places we call home and making a lasting impact,” John said. “Cricket has shaped a lot of my life and I’m honoured to take on this role to help grow the game and its positive influence across Western Australia.”
VECTOR Advisors congratulates John on this well-deserved appointment and looks forward to seeing the Foundation continue to thrive under his leadership.
